Wow! Walking Penny's llamas

Anderson Valley is very diverse. The valley is surrounded by ridges which allow us to live with an ecosystem from mixed redwood forest to chapparel. We are in the Navarro Watershed. Having grown up in California (Carmel and Big Sur), I often characterize us as fire & flood. (For info on fire go to this link, http://www.andersonvalley.org/.)  While fire & flood doesn't sound ideal, the hot dry summers and wet moody winters are wonderful... and the 10 or so days we can call Spring or Fall are all the more precious. What saves us are the extreme temperature swings; on a 100 degree day we can drop to 45 at night. Thanks to hard work insulating, my house stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
